TEXA$ A&M Tailgate - Recap

This tailgate was our largest ever! A real team effort made this tailgate a success. Everyone pitched in to help with food and drink, led by John Saucier, our tailgate manager. We estimated over 300 attended our tailgate. So many to thank, including Tim and Cynthia Gevedon, Christopher Moorhouse, our tent guys Michael and Joseph, Jeff Herr, Larry Levine, Diana and John Day, Bryce Schottelkotte, Ted Kluemper, and all the folks bringing food/drink.

It was a beautiful day in Tuscaloosa for this much anticipated night game. The Crimson Tide prevailed 24-20 in a very close game.

The day started off with a breakfast at the Chi Omega sorority house for those that helped us setup. Then plans were made to greet our passengers on the charter flight from Cincinnati. Bryce Schottelkotte was our Student Ambassador for that flight.

Our white tents were sponsored by Jeff Herr and Larry Levine. For the first time, we had an open bar and bartender at the tent. Catering was done by Ajian Sushi and Joe's Italian Catering. Walt Griess was our guest chef. He made a Boston butt. We also had our now famous yellow hammers, Graeter's ice cream, Skyline/goetta dip, Grippo's BBQ chips, and some good candy from Doscher's. Lots of volunteers brought food and drink to the tent, including those on the charter flight. We had plenty of Ale8 and drinks from Cincinnati, Dayton and Covington.
