Let's welcome these three Kings seniors to our Bama Bound freshmen group! We would like to highlight all of our Bama Bound freshmen and can do so by their school if we can get parent participation. Let's give a shout out to these outstanding incoming freshmen from Kings!

Gavin Groff
Gavin Groff

Let's start with Gavin Groff. Gavin is the son of Andy and Janelle Groff. He has achieved a stellar 4.57 GPA - taking 38 Honors, AP, or College Credit courses at Kings High School while earning a 34 on his ACT.


During high school, Gavin participated in the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta, the National High School Mathematics Honor Society. He also participated in the Math Club, Spanish Club, Swim Team, and Tennis Team.

He plans to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alabama where he was accepted into the prestigious Randall Research Scholars Program.


Gavin is the recipient of the Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award, established in 1989 by Ohio's County Superintendents to recognize student achievement and promote academic accomplishment. One senior from each of Ohio's eighty-eight counties receives this prestigious award. Let's give a big ROLL TIDE to Gavin!


Lucas Webster
Lucas Webster

Lucas Webster is another Kings grad that will be attending Alabama! He is the son of Lyle and Jennifer Webster. He has a 4.62 GPA, is a National Merit Scholarship Finalist, and earned a 34 on his ACT.  During high school, Lucas participated in the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and the National High School Mathematics Honor Society.  His extracurricular activities throughout high school have included playing on the Men’s Soccer Team, participating in the Math and Spanish club, and taking weekly piano lessons.  He is also an avid recreational basketball player and has recently taken up Jiu-jitsu lessons. Lucas plans to pursue a degree in Computer Science at the University of Alabama and is looking forward to the warmer winter weather! Let's give Lucas a big ROLL TIDE!


Nathan Klasmeier
Nathan Klasmeier

Last, but not least, let's meet Nathan Klasmeier. Nathan is the son of Nancy Quinn and Mike Klasmeier. He has achieved a 4.36 GPA - taking 37 Honors, AP, or College Credit Plus courses at Kings High School.


During high school, Nathan participated in the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta, the National High School Mathematics Honor Society. He also participated in the Math Club, Spanish Club, Swim Team, Soccer Team, Tennis Team, Ski Club, Track and Field Team and the Countryside YMCA Torpedos Club Swim Team.


He plans to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alabama where he was accepted into the Honors College & Achieve Scholars Program. Let's give Nathan a big ROLL TIDE!

I remember one of our first Bama Bound freshmen from Kings.... Claire Manderfield. Kings has grown so much since then. So glad to see so many attending UA! Go Kings!
