E. Carolina : A Look Back

It was a hot game.
It was a hot game.

The Crimson Tide opened the 2026 football season at home against the East Carolina Pirates. It was an early kickoff, but CrimsonAti held strong with a tailgate on campus and a watch party in Covington, Ky.

We tried a new venue for our unofficial watch party. The Mad Piper in Covington is Will Hodges' new venue. Located next door to The Well, The Mad Piper is a great location for a small watch party.

Is that a yellow hammer on a Saturday morning? That refreshing cocktail, along with a few scoops of Skyline/goetta dip, makes for a great tailgate. The TV was on and we had plenty of seating. Much thanks for Virginia Mapes and other volunteers that helped make our tailgate a success. A big thank you to Joseph Freeman and his crew for setting up our tent.

Our tailgate is known as a 'Taste of Home'. We serve a unique hot dip of Skyline with goetta. It's great with Scoops.

We had fresh fruit, donuts, and other assorted breakfast food for our tailgaters. See that police motorcycle? That's the team heading to the stadium. Our tent is located in the heart of campus.

We'll be tailgating with the National Alumni Association in Lexington on Friday night before GameDay. Get your tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1992929951132?aff=oddtdtcreator
