A Fond Farewell to the Mapes

Andi and Scott Mapes

Sometimes you have to say farewell to beloved friends and colleagues. At our Chapter Meeting, held on Tuesday, June 10th at March First Brewing, we said goodbye and thank you to Andi and Scott Mapes, active members of CrimsonAti since the beginning. Scott has served as chapter treasurer and often assisted Andi with events and community service.

Andi has served as Coordinator of Events and Comunity Service. Over the years, she has worked closely with various organizations and in particular the Inter Parish Ministry (IPM) and ProScan Imaging (packing pink ribbon bags and the Queen City Chess Classic). She's also assisted with Kindervelt, the Flying Pig Marathon, building furniture with New Life Furniture Bank, and many more. If there was a need, Andi was there to help.

Andi also coordinated our Beat Auburn, Beat Hunger food drive every Fall. This drive benefitted IPM. Over the years, hundreds of thousands of food and donations were collected from CrimsonAti members for IPM. CrimsonAti also maintains a shelf at their pantry and Andi maintained that shelf.

Following the Chapter Meeting, we celebrated and thanked the Mapes for their long time contributions to CrimsonAti. There were a lot of hugs and tears.

The Mapes are relocating to Scott's hometown in Virginia. They promise to stay in touch, and we wish them well.

There is nothing quite like a CrimsonAti Chapter Meeting!

Thank you Andi and Scott for all you have done for CrimsonAti. Andi, you have kept so many of us involved in various community service projects. I wish you both the best in Virginia! They are working on getting their Alabama branded license plates there!
