The Aidan Robert Moncelle Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established in 2025 by
the Moncelle Family to honor their son and brother by recognizing sibling loss and
helping students reach for the stars. Aidan was a senior at UA, majoring in Mechanical
and Aerospace Engineering, with a Blount Scholars minor. Due to his passion for
rocketry and space, he was highly active in the UA Alabama Rocketry Association (ARA)
and served as the Liquids Project Manager.
First priority is given to current and incoming students who have experienced sibling
loss. Next priority is given to current ARA members, with preference given to Ohio or
Cincinnati region students.
The Aidan Robert Moncelle Memorial Endowed Scholarship is now fully endowed and scholarships will be awarded from this fund in 2026.
Here's a message from his family to the CrimsonAt family:
CrimsonAti has been fortunate to have success with raising scholarship dollars over the past few years. The chapter now provides five endowed scholarships. The University of Alabama has the nation's largest alumni based scholarship endowment program in the country!
