Updated: May 20

We award endowed scholarships to freshmen annually. The Greater Cincinnati Endowed Scholarship was established in 2014. The first scholarships from this endowment were awarded in 2015 to Chase Merkel and Megan Huether. Since then, we have awarded a scholarship annually. First priority is given to entering freshmen graduating from a high school located within a fifty mile radius of Greater Cincinnati. Second priority of consideration is given to entering freshmen graduating from any other high School in Ohio.
As of September 30, 2021, the book value of the Greater Cincinnati Endowed Scholarship was $93,122.30 and the fair market value was $112,834.20. Current tuition is $5,390 for an Alabama resident and $15,125 for an out-of-state resident per semester.
Tax-deductible contributions can be made to this scholarship here: https://give.ua.edu/?d=881ea11f-23ac-4379-bf53-57f88561479b. Contributions to this scholarship will be matched at 60-80% by the National Alumni Association annually during the month of July. This matching will continue as long as the program is available.

Support our scholarships by purchasing a raffle ticket to the Ultimate Alabama-Texas A&M Experience! The winner receives two seats on our first-class non-stop Ultimate Jetcharter from Lunken Airport to the Tuscaloosa Airport, two tickets to the game, shuttle service and tailgating. $50 per ticket. Raffle tickets are available at all CrimsonAti events until September 10th, or you can purchase your raffle tickets here: http://bama-aggies.eventbrite.com. Drawing will take place at halftime of the Alabama-Texas watch party at Fueled Collective.

One way you can help support our scholarships is to play The Big Board. This game of luck is played during Alabama football games where we are having a Watch Party. We host Watch Parties for the opener, all SEC games, and all post-season games. We do not have Watch Parties for home non-league games.
You can play The Big Board anytime it's available, as long as it's before kickoff. Half of the proceeds go to our scholarships if we fill up the Board. Winners are announced after every quarter of play. You do not have to be present to win. You can play from anywhere.
Corporate Gift Match:
Corporate matching gifts are a great way for Alabama alumni, parents and friends to maximize their contribution to CrimsonAti. Your contribution plus your corporate matching gift will increase the impact of your financial support. Also, your contribution will be recognized on your UA gift record and the Alumni Association’s Annual Donor Recognition Report. By taking advantage of your company’s matching gift potential, you will double or triple the impact of a contribution to our scholarships. If you are employed at local corporations like the ones below, you can double, or even triple, your scholarship contribution! Here are just a FEW of the local employers that will match your gift.

How to Apply for a Scholarship:
The fall semester of a student’s senior year in high school is crucial. January 15 is the priority date for high school seniors to submit both the UA Application for Admission at apply.ua.edu and theUA Application for Scholarships via the myBama.ua.edu portal in order to receive consideration for scholarship review campus-wide.
The UA scholarship application process is a consolidated, centralized, electronic procedure used campus-wide by all departments including the CrimsonAti scholarships. Students must complete the scholarship application to be considered for any scholarship managed by the CrimsonAti scholarships. UA is now Test Optional. Students can be admitted without a test score. There will be some excellent students who apply without a test score. A complete application for admission now consists of the online application, application fee, and transcript. Students have the option of having a test score included in the review or being considered without it. They will indicate that choice on the application for admission.
CrimsonAti scholarships are awarded during the month of April each year. For complete information about Scholarships at The University of Alabama for the upcoming 2021-22 academic year, take a look at the file below.
